Ken Krutsch poses by his highly modified Palmer Plans B-24. The warbird features 115" wingspan weighing around 16lbs using four OS .25 FX engines with 8x6 3 blade props. Ken says "it flies like a heavy trainer".
Armin Weber from Aurora Ill. holds the best looking Stafford B-24 I have ever seen. Covered with brushed Chrome Ultracoat, 90" wingspan, 13lbs. Four O.S. .25's fly it very well as does Armin.

Carl Bachhuber preps his beautiful B-24 Liberator. 165" wingspan, powered by 4 Saito .91 four cycle's, 43lbs, homemade retracts, Fowler flaps, bomb drop. Balsa and ply construction covered with .6 oz glass cloth and epoxy. A burnished polyester mylar tape is used to simulate aluminum skin. From modified Palmer Plans. Flying since 1997. Easy to fly. It's like flying a 4 engine Piper Cub except when it's windy. The B-24 was sold to Jeff Quensenberry in 2001 and crashed at Bomber Field in Texas later that year by my good friend Jeff Quesenberry. Two engines went out on the same side shortly after takeoff. Results were unavoidable.
