Lou Cetrangelo from Eastport NY with his Meisterscale Spitfire. Weight 20 lbs Wing Span: 96" Engine: DA-50 Modified Slimline Pits Muffler to fit in Cowl by shorting barrel. Propeller: 3 blade Bolly carbon fiber 20" X 12". Fuselage, lower center wing, and tail are covered in 1 oz fiberglass cloth. Wings are covered in natural Solortex. Hinges: Robart Pin Hinges. 9 Servos are all HiTec Digital with a Futaba 8 Channel PCM receiver.

It now has a 3w-50 engine, Keleo live exhaust stacks, Shindin Machine retracts, Warbirdcolors paints, getstencils.com stencils, new servos, and tailwheel. All up weight is about 34 lbs, and hopefully the maiden will be this summer.

Omer Reuveni poses with his Israeli air force Spitfire from a Dynaflite kit. Wingspan 2.02 meters, engine Fugi 32cc at 2.5hp, 1.66 meters long. After the establishment of the new Israeli state in 1948, the Israeli air force purchased 59 Spitfire aircraft from the Czech air force and in November 1948 they were placed in the first combat wing.

Jim Repp from Canton Michigan shows his FiberClassics Spifire. This warbird weighs 36 lbs. and is powered by a Q 100 spinning a 24x10 3 blade Mejlik prop. Engine cooling is provided by the two radiator scoops under each wing. Engine is cowled in with nothing hanging out. Air is "piped" through the fuse and into the cowl via a custom mount muffler.

Tommy McClellan with his Mick Reeves ¼ scale Spitfire at 40 lbs. with a 4.2 brison 110 inch wingspan. Tommy say's "Flies great . finish scheme is the north African us air core . bought from the British at the beginning of the war and repainted over the English markings. The roundels stayed on the under side of the wing. Has won many 1ST. place trophies."

Dave Szabo from Minneapolis Minnesota shows us his fiberclassics spitfire built Cal Branton. 102 inch wingspan, 3W-80 inline twin with a tuned pipe that exits by the tailwheel. Fiberclassics gear and tailwheel. 31 pounds ready to fly. Dave says; "I am currently stripping it down to rebuild as a Mark IX. I am also removing the engine due to some cooling issues with the rear cylinder of the inline 80 and installing a Quadra 100M (need the weight)."

Leo Spychalla from Watertown WI. 1/5th Scale MKXIV E Spitfire. Built from a Yellow Aircraft kit using a Bubble Canopy Conversion Kit produced by Spychalla Aircraft LLC. The airplane has a wingspan of 80" with the clipped wingtips and weighs 27 lbs. Power is a ZDZ 40 turning a 20 X 10 prop. Flown to 10th place at the 2003 U.S. Scale Masters and 4th place in Expert at the 2004 AMA NATS.

Modeled after Bob Pond's full scale Spit. If all goes well,16 yr. old Zach plans to fly this plane at the 2003 Nationals.

John Thomas Spitfire is built from Jim Miester plans of balsa and ply construction. She weighs 22 lbs. and has a 96" wingspan. Silkspun Coverite is covered perfectly with Perfect Chevron paint. A big Supertiger 2500 swinging an 18-8 Dynathrust prop provides motivation while Spring air retracts with Robart struts keep it off the weeds.
