RCWarbirds.com Southern representative Lenny Smith sends us pictures of this great
r/c warbird event held in Opelika Alabama in the spring. |

"We had great flying weather Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday and Saturday, but had 90% rain for Sunday. Very nice field for large warbirds,
close cropped and rolled grass, well over a thousand feet with good approaches.
I can highly recommend this as an event friendly to the warbird crowd. It was
similar to Bomber Field and Americus,Ga. in that its owned by one man who does
everything and loves warbirds. Last count I saw was 43 pilots, considering the
field and facilities available, there should have been more, but Top Gun is the
same weekend in the southeast"....Lenny |
