Randy modified a retractable nose wheel for our tail wheel installation.
Here it is shown in the down position. |

the two aluminum tubes Randy used to route the steering cable back to the
tail wheel arm. |

The air can for the tail wheel is located in the inner
front wing saddle. |

The rear fiberglass gun cap and gunner station are attached and faired
in. Very small screws are used to make the end gun cap removable. |
|
The top turtle deck is now faired in and ready to mount
permanently. |
|
Randy is vacuforming his own windows and nose plastic. Here is the plug
for the rear turtle deck top widow. |

Here Randy is holding his plug for the Model E nose piece. The E model
B-17 had a flatter nose piece than the F. |
