The Tracker plans were developed by using Modelcad and
a scanned in 3-view. It turns out to be a real timesaver as you are able
to do a number of what ifs(engine cowl fit, etc.) before you set the final
dimensions.. There were just a lot more what ifs that had to be asked. Like
the width and height of my trailer doors, etc. The plane has a wing span
of 165", powered by 2 G-62's turning 3 bladed props. Scratch built
retracts, spoilers, wings fold using 2 screwdriver mechanisms powering jackscrews.
Wings are locked with a sail winch servo driving aluminum tubs into the
outer wing panels. Finish is epoxy and cloth with enamel paint. |
