Richard McFarland from Waldorf Md with his heavy metal Top Flite P-47. This beauty features a 63.5" Span, weighs 12 Lbs., glassed and finished W/ I.M.P's Skinni-Dip. Powered by an O.S. 120III SurpassW/ pump, Springair HD103 retracts and controlled by the Airtronics RD-600. (click picture for larger image)

   
Tom Duncan Mt. Vernon Illinois with his Ripley Models P-47 manufactured in Zimbobway Africa. This warbird is done in the "Hairless Joe" scheme and features a Webra 90, flaps, retracts and has a 76" wingspan. Tom says the plane flies beautifully. (click picture for larger image)
   
Kirk Sonnier from Redmond WA displays his Yellow Aircraft P-47 razorback. 80" wingspan, Zenoah G-62, 24lbs, Spring Air retracts. Kirk used Flight Metal for that real metal look and exterior latex paint for the painted areas. He than finished it off with Nelson Hobby flat clear. (click picture for larger image)
   
Kirk Hall shows us his beautiful Yellow P-47 done up in a CBI theater scheme. This warbird features a Zenoa G-45 for power swinging a 20/10 prop. Weighs 22 lbs. Kirk say's "This is my first warbird and scale plane. Very easy to fly and so forgiving". (click picture for larger image)
   
Lenny Smith from Kenner La proudly displays his great looking American Eagle P47. 95in wing, foam & glass fuse construction, Sachs 5.2 on magneto, Robart retracts, 29lbs all up weight with dual batteries & switches. Paint is PPG base, clear. "Great flier with strong verticle ability" say's Lenny. (click picture for larger image)
   
Ruben Ramos of Edinburg Texas with his Yellow Aircraft P-47. Ruben used Krylon paint to finish this 80" wingspan, 22lb Jug. Yellow retracts, JR radio and a Q 52 complete this beauty. (click picture for larger image)
   
Xavier Pruneda from Alamo Texas with his Yellow P-47 Razorback. This warbird has an 80" wing and weighs 22lbs. Xavier uses a G-38 for power, Yellow retracts for ground handling and a JR radio for control. (click picture for larger image)
   
Bill Krummel from Kenner La with his beautiful Byron P-47. Bill uses a G-62 to haul this Jug's 80" wingspan, 24 lbs. around the sky. Byron retracts, sequential inner gear doors and operational flaps provide realism while a 8 UAPS Futaba radio provides the link. (click picture for larger image)
   
Rob Bailey from Oak Ridge New Jersey shows us his Nosen P-47. This checker nosed warbird is made of ply and balsa construction with fiberglass finish. A 102" wingspan supports 42lbs. in the air and Robart retracts support it on the ground. A JR XP8103 radio keeps it in sight when chasing 109's. (click picture for larger image)
   
Ron Storer from Lawrenceville GA. shows his Yellow Aircraft P-47. Ron used fiberglass and foam for main construction covered it with aluminum. 23 lbs and an 80" wingspan fly very nice with a Walker 3.2 engine leading the way. (click picture for larger image)
   
Greg Wright from Aurora Ill. with his Yellow Aircraft P-47. This beauty is glass and foam with fiberglass and paint finish. The Jug weighs 22lbs and has an 80" wingspan. A Sachs 2.6 gets if flying just fine.(click picture for larger image)
   
Mike Kaas from Leclaire Iowa with his sharp P-47 Thunderbolt. Mike started with Meister Scale plans, than made a foam plug for the fuse than cut his own foam wings, glassing the finished assembly. This warbird weighs 40lbs with a 103" wingspan. A Quadra 100 really pulls this Jug and the prop noise is pure warbird. Scale static prop and functional side vents add realism to this very nice P-47.(click picture for larger image)
   
Tom Lazar from Marshall Wisconsin displays his fine looking Yellow P-47 bubble top. This fighter has sliding canopy and is powered by a G-38. (click picture for larger image)
   
Nick Capone's beautiful Meister P-47, 42 lbs. , 5.8 Brison, CJM retracts, Robart tail wheel. Covered with .75 oz. cloth, West Systems resin, finished with automotive enamel basecoats. Jerry Polz from west Chicago proudly displays his P-47 "My Gal Sal". This good looking warbird is a Valley Aviation design and is powered by a Challenger Huskey 4.4 that hauls it's 40lbs around with ease.(click picture for larger image)
   
Joe Wilkens shows off his immaculate Nosen P-47. Joe says it has a 102" wingspan, Sachs 5.2 for power, and weighs in at 38lbs. He also said this model has been with him for many, many years and flies like a dream. (click picture for larger image)
   
Chuck Smith's P-47 looks great against the backdrop of the Chicago land Festival of Giants field. This big boy has 107' wingspan and weighs 35lbs. A Quadra 75 flies it just right. Chuck say's she flies smooth and easy. (click picture for larger image)
   
Dick Pettit's P-47 is built from the Top Flight kit and is the subject of a review Dick did for RC Reports magazine. Dick say's " It's 85" span, weighs 21 lbs with US41 engine, which is plenty for normal" flying." (click picture for larger image)
   
Mike Fabian from McAllen Texas shows off his Valley Aviation P-47. Mikes Jug has a 92" wingspan and weighs 36lbs. A Quadra 75 gives it plenty of go!
