Dayton Giant Scale Event 2000


 

 Joe Wilkins and his great looking F7F Tigercat. Sachs 4.2's pull 48lbs. with authority. Joe said he has a lot of time in this plane and it shows in his quality workmanship.

   Joe Wilkins faithful Nosen P-47. Joe says this ones been around a long time but looks brand new! A Sachs 5.2 moves it's 38lbs. with no problem.

 
Joe again, this time with his very smooth P-51 via Bud Nosen. A Sachs 5.2 also powers this bird and it weighs 36lbs. You would have to see Joe's work in person to appreciate the quality that goes into one of his planes.
 

   
Fockwolf by Jim Repp of Canton Mi. Jim used Jim Meister plans to carve out this great looking German fighter. 100" wingspan and a Quadra 35 fly this 32lb beauty in wartime sorties.

 
What? It's an Australian CA 13 Boomerang. Charles Mills from Ontario came all the way down to show off this unusual fighter. 100" wingspan, ZDZ80 power, 33lbs.
 

   
Another look at this Ausie fighter. Charles says he scratch built this plane from a plastic model he had. Notice the cool custom and functioning exhaust.
